Wings and Five Leaf Clovers
Green grass and blue skies
Ideal days for ideal lies
Pure White wings and Five leaf clovers
Each as rare as the other
Do we not deserve to fly
Are we all different
Air like water around us
The sun melting away our thoughts
Ideas that never reach their destination
Questions of the twilight
Facts of the dusk
Statements that have no reply
What can this materialistic world bring
What torment must we endure
Why must we exist on this external plane
When everywhere we look is deceit
Frowns more common than smiles
Honesty taken over by distrust
When given wings
What would humans do
But fall victim to their own minds
And fall into the depths of their hearts
Lost for all eternity
In a pit of endless suffering
If one finds a five leaf clover
Does it bring luck or happiness
Or is it an augury of what will come
The future of mankind
One out of place
Who will pluck it off
Or will it forever be alone
Green grass and blue skies
Ideal days for ideal lies
Pure White wings and Five leaf clovers
Each as rare as the other
Do we not deserve to fly
Are we all similar
